Weekly Update - Friday 10th October 2024

Summary of this week:

The children have really enjoyed getting to know our latest text in Guided Reading – The Wind in the Willows. We have been focusing on Mr Badger and, using evidence from the text, the children were able to create an underground map of his home and have a discussion about the benefits and pitfalls for animal living underground!

Our learning next week:

Maths: We will begin finding out about factors and multiples and noticing patterns and rules.

English: Using the evidence they found in Wind in the Willows from their guiding reading lessons, the children are going to create a setting description about Mr Badger’s underground home.

Foundation: In Design and Technology the children will be making the final touches to their pop-up books, in science we will explore gravity, in history they will being to understand how Anglo Saxons were ruled after being invaded, in computing the children will programme a soundtrack and in RE they will research how Christians care about the world.

Homework:
